During the 2023-24 academic year, four senior Norwich University engineering students combined their skills to build a prototype joystick for a client with cerebral palsy. Mechanical Engineering majors Tanner Buckelew, Helena Robinson, and Sebastian Mowbray teamed up with Interdisciplinary Engineering major Andrew Wade for this successful project.
Norwich University has strived to provide practical and experiential learning to its students since its founding. That centuries-old tradition continues today as a pair of Norwich cadets traveled to the Republic of Kosovo, where they attended International Cadets Week hosted by the Center for University Studies – Kosovo Defense Academy.
A group of four freshly graduated Norwich alumni finalized their educational journey by presenting their capstone project, an aircraft pressure sensor testing apparatus, to Collins Aerospace on April 25.

During the recent National Meeting in San Diego, California, the University’s club earned the honor and is now poised to lead 145 Silver Wings Clubs from the various Air Force ROTC detachments across the country.
Out of 80 participating teams, the Norwich University Alpha Team placed first in the Team ROTC Heavy Division and third overall with a time of 5:14 hr.
International student Amrutaa Vibho ’26 finds her home at Norwich after discovering her love of learning.
