NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Author Mariana Budjeryn has been selected for the 2024 William E. Colby Military Writers’ Award for her work Inheriting the Bomb: The Collapse of the USSR and the Nuclear Disarmament of Ukraine (John Hopkins Press).
The Pritzker Military Foundation, led by its founder, COL (IL) Jennifer N. Pritzker, IL ARNG, has announced the funding of a new scholarship in honor of GEN Gordon R. Sullivan ’59. It takes the form of a challenge grant that will match private cash donations of up to $250,000 and create an endowed fund.

Alan DeForest ’75, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Norwich University, proudly announces the unanimous decision to elect Lieutenant General John Broadmeadow ’83, USMC (Retired), as the University’s 25th president on April 19, 2024. LtGen Broadmeadow will officially transition from his Board of Trustees position to the presidential office on May 1, 2024, which will mark the first time in more than three decades that a Norwich alumnus will lead the school as its president.
Norwich University is proud to announce the upcoming annual Master’s Hooding, Commencement, and Commissioning Ceremonies on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27. This year, Norwich University will proudly inaugurate more than 920 graduates into the next stage of their professional journeys.
The on-campus event was a complete success, with over 250 Norwich University students adding their names to the National Marrow Donor Program registry to become potential donors.
The event is facilitated in partnership with Norwich University’s physical education department, the first program of its kind at an American college or university.
The Vermont State Legislature recently passed a House Concurrent Resolution honoring the late Doc Martin ’20. Coinciding with the anniversary of his passing, the resolution was read aloud from the State House chamber and then delivered to Norwich University by Representative Anne Donahue (Northfield).
