Capt Robert Denoyer

Captain Robert E. Denoyer was assigned as the Marine Officer Instructor at Norwich University in June 2020. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and was commissioned in May, 2013 via Georgia Institute of Technology NROTC.

Upon completion of The Basic School and Basic Communications Officer Course, Captain Denoyer reported for duty as the Platoon Commander, Communications Company, 2nd Marine Division aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for seven months.

In January 2016, Captain Denoyer then transferred Sixth Marine Infantry Regiment to be the Communications Platoon Commander. During his tour at Sixth Marines, he supervised four subordinate battalions’ communication sections in exercises, evaluations, and preparations to deploy. 

In April 2017, Sixth Marines Headquarters stood up Task Force Southwest (TFSW) and deployed in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. Captain Denoyer deployed to Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province, Afghanistan and served as both a 505th Zone Afghan Nation Police G6 Advisor and Site Communications Officer.

In May 2018, Captain Denoyer was transferred to 2d Marine Raider Battalion where he served as the Battalion Communications Officer for 3 months before being assigned to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Iraq (CJSOTF-I) 19.1. 

In November 2018, Captain Denoyer deployed with the CJSOTF-I to Baghdad, Iraq as the J35 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. In June 2019, Captain Denoyer returned and until the completion of his tour served as the Headquarters and Service Company Commander, 2D Marine Raider Battalion, U. S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Captain Denoyer’s personal decorations include the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
