We support all NU researchers in their pursuit of grants, scholarships, and fellowships, exchange of ideas, and contributions to global knowledge that further enhance NU’s academic reputation.

Charles A. Dana Professors

Founded in 1974, the Charles A Dana Foundation supports the development of an outstanding full-time faculty through the recruitment and retention of professors with widely recognized scholarly attributes and a high level of teaching competence. Faculty are nominated by their peers and recommendations for appointment are made by the current body of Dana professors to the provost and the president. Since the first nominations in 1975, Norwich has named 21 Charles A. Dana Professors.
