Helping to meet the critical demand for nurses with vision, innovation, and educational excellence
NU’s School of Nursing helps meet a critical demand for nurses with vision, innovation, and educational excellence. Our mission is to prepare students to be globally minded nurse leaders and scholars through innovative and diverse experiential education and research.
Supported by outstanding faculty and new simulation laboratories, classrooms, and learning laboratories, the School of Nursing offers you an environment that encourages achievement and growth. Clinical affiliations with academic medical centers, such as Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the University of Vermont Medical Center, and community hospitals and clinical sites, provide our majors with excellent clinical resources and experiential-learning environments. Our students use a variety of technological applications—including electronic health records and handheld personal digital assistants—to access timely information in the classroom and clinical settings.
We’ll challenge you to provide optimum quality and valued patient care in complex health care systems. Our program offers a four-year program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Norwich students find an impressive advantage using iPads in their nursing classes. Including sharing paperwork, submitting assignments, and viewing anatomy.
