Nearly 200 Years—Learn More About Norwich

COLUMBUS, Ohio - On August 2, 2018, the Ohio Machine of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced the addition of Norwich men’s lacrosse alumnus Andrew Bracy ’15 to its 25-man roster.

Bracy spent four years in the maroon and gold playing under Head Coach Neal Anderson from the 2012 season to his senior season in 2015. The New York native spent the majority of his time in the faceoff circle, eventually becoming one of the most prolific faceoff men in Norwich lacrosse history.

Ranked second all-time in faceoff winning percentage (.669), Bracy played a total of 60 games for the Cadets and won a total of 365 draws, the third highest mark in program history. He also ranks sixth all-time in ground balls (147) and owns the best faceoff winning percentage in a single season with a .743 mark during his senior year that led all of NCAA Division III. Bracy took home GNAC All-Conference honors twice (2014, 2015) and was selected to play in the NEILA East/West All-Star Game in 2015. The NEILA also selected him to their Academic All-Region team that same year.

In his four years in Northfield, Bracy and the Cadets made it to at least the conference semifinals each season and took home the title in 2013, the program’s only conference championship thus far.

The Ohio Machine is a professional lacrosse team based in Columbus, Ohio. The Machine is one of nine teams competing in Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league. The team has been competing in the MLL since 2012 and won the franchise’s first MLL Championship in 2017. The team competes at Fortress Obetz, the nation’s first professional lacrosse specific stadium.

Bracy’s first taste of action with Ohio took place Saturday, August 4, against the Boston Cannons. Follow his career.
