Mission, Vision & Values

Mission

The mission of the Learning Support Center is to support the work of faculty in their efforts to provide our students with an education that enables them to achieve the following intellectual and character qualities: critical reasoning; respect for others’ beliefs and opinions; ethical grounding; effective communication skills; skills in specific content areas; and an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship in a free republic. This mission is accomplished by instructing, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, counseling and nurturing students to become self-directed, capable learners at Norwich and for life. It assumes a close, interactive relationship with University faculty and staff directly engaged in support of the academic well-being of our students.

Vision

The Learning Support Center seeks to develop further as a highly effective, multi-faceted academic support resource for the Norwich University community.
